3) These industries service patients year-round, so jobs are available regardless of the season.

Outlook Good for Active Jobseekers

According to Careerbuilder and its Q4 2017 Job Forecast, an estimated 43 percent of nationwide employers planned to hire full-time employees during the last quarter of 2017.

What this means for you is you've got a very good chance of landing a new job before the end of the year. In fact, those who are looking for a career (or career change) in the healthcare industry, are among the luckiest. Demand for allied healthcare workers is still quite high.

How to Improve Your Chances of Being Hired

First way to improve your chances of getting hired is to put yourself out there. Unless you get your resume in front of potential employers, you won't have a chance. Don't put off until later what you can do today.

Next is to stay positive. Having a positive attitude goes a long way, especially when hunting for a new job. Know what you want and don't be afraid to go get it.

Be passionate about your career. While employers do want to get positions filled, they won't fill them with people who aren't passionate about what they do. Jobseekers who are passionate and have purpose often find the job hunt becomes less of a chore and more of a stepping stone to their next adventure.

Don't hestitate to get help. Reach out to those who have the connections you need to secure that new position. You don't have to go it alone.
